Negotiating Sisterhood

The rule in our house is that if someone drops a toy and it is no longer in your physical possession, it is fair game for the next person to pick it up and play with it.  Witness the fine act of trying to keep what you have when you have a sister lying in wait to pick it up.

Lucy has 4 of her favorite things on her body and is desperately trying to figure out how to keep them away from Kate: a rattle on each wrist, a scooter and the train. Notice Kate, devilish smile, just waiting for Lucy to drop something.
Lucy's guard goes down as Kate moves away and around the bar...Lucy loosens her grip on the train.
It falls to the floor. She looks up to be sure Kate is not still there...
A not-so-stealth sneak attack from the rear! Kate swoops in with a shriek of glee and reaches for the train. Lucy whips her scooter around and hops off
With Kate's  hand still on one side, Lucy grabs the train away and simultaneously whips her head around to see if I am watching...
Oh yes, my love, Mama is ALWAYS WATCHING.

Love it! You made me laugh. I love your posts. Your blog is a real record of your family life. Sometimes I feel like I know you well. How did you capture this with photos? It must have happened so quickly! Nothing against Lucy, she is a sweetie pie, but go Kate! You've got the rules down pat sweetheart!
