Radiation Vacation

Or as my friend Jackie suggested: Ray-cation. We left Chicago this morning & arrived rather uneventfully at lunchtime. We had so much stuff that it took this to get us to the airport.

The girls were very good on the plane thanks to the iPad & some lollipops!

Our luggage came right away so then it was just waiting for the rental car paperwork to process.

After loading everything into our minivan we made our way to our new temporary home & got settled in. We ordered in some Chinese food for lunch & then Len headed over to Paivi's for the groceries she was kind enough to get.

Meanwhile, the ladies set off to explore our new quarters. We found one of the pools and even though I had no intention of letting them swim until we could get their suits from the box we shipped, well, see for yourself.

Back up to the apartment, light supper, bath & the girls conked out by 7pm.

Tomorrow I meet with the radiation oncologist at 9am to discuss the simulation which will take place on Wednesday.

Glad you arrived safe and sound. The girls wasted no time! Talk about waterbabies. Thinking of you and wishing you all the best.
