Father's Day

We spent Father's Day with Sara, Gustav and their little ones. This will end our tradition of spending holidays celebrating with them as they move to Sweden in a couple of weeks. I don't think it has quite sunk in that I am losing one of the first friends I made here in Chicago. We met them in our Bradley Birth class back before our girls were born and have been fast friends ever since. It is a rare and beautiful thing when not only the women are friends but the kids and husbands are as well.
We had a great brunch at Ann Sather followed by playtime the Swedish Children's Museum.

We will see Lina at their last playgroup tomorrow. The guys will be heading to Hopleaf for one last beer supper and we're sending Sara off with a mama's-only brunch on Sunday at Uncommon Ground. Pictures of the final farewells will be forthcoming.
