The hardest part of returning home from vacation is the actual getting back. The packing, the driving, the plane ride, the driving, the unpacking, the laundry, the grocery shopping.
And downloading 700 pictures....
In the meantime, these three videos required no editing and were easy to upload! The girls' swimming skills are vastly improved this year. No longer am I needed in the pool with them or carefully watching to make sure they are near the edge of the pool at all times. They practically lived in the pool or the ocean for the last 3 weeks and we have a dual case of swimmer's ear to prove it.
In the first two videos, both girls can now swim the length of the pool but their swimming styles are vastly different. Here's Lucy:

And here's Kate:

Both girls can also dive down to retrieve things in the deep end of the pool--8 1/2 feet! By the time I filmed this video, Kate was suffering with swimmer's ear in the room and Lucy was denying she had it so that she could keep swimming. (Actually, she said she had it when she saw the medicine and attention it was garnering Kate. Then she retracted when she found out she wouldn't be able to swim anymore. Since she wasn't showing the same signs as Kate, I figured she was bluffing. By last night, though, I could tell she had it too. Sigh.)
Anyway, the ring didn't make it to the bottom of the pool in this shot but both girls were touching the bottom earlier in the week.

Now back to the laundry. Oh, and weeding through the 700 or so pictures...
