Lucy has been taking basketball and tumbling lessons at the local park center. She's enjoying both but I have to say that basketball has captured her full attention. She L.O.V.E.S. it.
They play a quick scrimmage game at the end of every lesson. Lucy is good about getting possession of the ball but not so great at actually scoring at this point although she did manage to make a basket (at 2:22 mark) during this clip. But the best thing about this clip is her blocking her opponent while her teammate tries to make a basket. Hang in there until 1:35--she' totally into it!

And here's a quick peek into her tumbling class.

I wasn't sure we'd be able to make the tumbling class last night based on the week's events. We woke up at 1:30am Wednesday morning to Kate puking in her bed. We got her all cleaned up, changed the sheets, put the soiled sheets into the machine and....she puked again. In bed. And all over me and herself. More changing and cleaning. Finally got all of us back into clean beds by 3:30. Woke to find that the washing machine would no longer spin which meant very wet sheets. After many calls to repair places, it turns out our machine is no longer manufactured, the replacement cost of the part we needed would be 1/2 the cost of a new machine so now we have a new washer being delivered this afternoon.
Kate stayed home from school on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday she slept most of the day which was amazing since this is a child (if you have followed this blog since she was born) simply does not sleep during the day, sick or not. She never ran a fever so we just followed the bland diet and plyed her with liquids. She had some pretty bad nightmares Wednesday night and ended up sleeping until 10am Thursday (thank goodness for the bus that picks up right outside for Lucy!). By the afternoon, after facetiming on my phone with Meme and Papa, she was bouncing back enough to pack her in the car to pick L up for tumbling.
